Cube Rubicks

If you can put the corners in their right place you only need to use a 8 move permutation to solve the rest which I call "the cross"-pieces. The 20 moveable pieces that make up the 3x3x3 cube could be arranged into 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 (over 43 quintillion or so) combinations of positions! It is also over 7 billion combinations for each man, woman, and child on Earth!) And yet only one of those combinations would solve the cube. Taking the cube apart is a lot faster as well; there are only 20 pieces to remove but 54 stickers. The first step in lubricating a cube is taking it apart anyway, so all good cubes have been taken apart at least once before.

Get a single X on one side of the cube, by positioning the corners and the center piece on the same side. Note: all that matters is to get an X of a single color, the position of the corners relative to each other does not matter!! We don’t want some sort of design element that’s really just stuck in… like some sort of signature piece. Our architecture tends to be seemless. Move 1 rotates the piece clockwise, while the Reverse of Move 1 rotates it counterclockwise. Also, since we\'re dealing with pictures/logos now, I will no longer use the "mirror" convention to show reflections of the hidden sides.

So this site is about the resolution of a puzzle so simple but so famous, sold in hundred of million pieces. The challenge for IPAs and EDOs is the challenge of the Rubik\'s Cube: understanding the relationship between the different sides and getting all the pieces to work together. There are three aspects of their business that IPAs and EDOs need to understand and respond to: their clients, their environment and their competition. Three edge pieces have changed locations. Make sure you find them all.

The final step solves the rest, or orients corners and permutes all pieces in one algoritm. This method averages less than 50 moves in speedsolving, however the minimum number of algs required for the whole method is 158 (306 with reflections and inverses) for the F2L step and 270 (493 with reflections and inverses) for a total of 428 (799 with reflections and inverses).
