Outside the box, on the floor

Scattered on the floor of Finale Art File’s Tall Gallery are boxes that blink, buzz, and bewilder. Created by 31 artists for the Cube show, they range in size from a Rubik’s Cube to six-feet all-around -- the same dimensions as sculptor Tony Smith’s Die, a minimalist steel cube described by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC as a "classic icon of post-World War II American art."
